Drew Greenwald has been a recognized leader in urban development over the past three decades.
Mr. Greenwald has played a key role in many well known and highly complex projects and transactions. He was the creative force behind Harlem USA and DC USA. His pioneering ideas for retail development in underserved markets have been manifested in numerous successful developments throughout the country.
Mr. Greenwald is considered one of the foremost authorities on a range of real estate development issues from retail and entertainment to affordable housing, and from health care to not-for-profit development. He has appeared as a panelist and moderator at numerous seminars including ones sponsored by NACORE, American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute, Regional Plan Association, NAREIM, International Council of Shopping Centers, Institute for International Research and the Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute. In 2008 he was honored by the ICIC (Initiative for a Competitive Inner City) with their Inner City Economic Leadership Award.
Mr. Greenwald has been a guest lecturer at the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Washington University in St. Louis, and both the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Design and its Wharton Graduate School of Business. He is frequently interviewed and quoted by national and international business, industry, and general news media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, U.S. News and World Report, Forbes, The Financial Times of London, Bloomberg Business Forum, and ABC, NBC and CBS News.
Mr. Greenwald is a Registered Architect and licensed real estate professional. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture and Planning. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the New York Foundation for Architecture and on the Board of Directors of the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the 125th Street Business Improvement District and is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute.
